Flooring Installation & Replacement
Floors set the tone for the whole home. We pull up the tired carpet and dated vinyl, prep the subfloor the right way, and lay hardwood, LVP, or tile that looks right and stays right.
New floors change a home more than almost any other upgrade. Warm hardwood underfoot in the living room, waterproof luxury vinyl that laughs at spills and muddy boots, tile that welcomes you at the door - the right floor makes every room feel new again.
Cedar Ridge installs all types of residential flooring across Seattle's Eastside, and we treat the part you'll never see as carefully as the part you will. Subfloor prep is where cheaper installers cut corners - and it's the number one reason floors fail. We check for level, moisture, and structure before a single plank goes down.
We've watched the Pacific Northwest do a number on floors: rain-soaked entries, pet wear, linoleum that's been there since the Reagan administration. Whatever you're starting with, we'll help you choose a floor that fits how your family actually lives, and install it to last.
Clean transitions, careful trim, honest flat-rate pricing, and a crew that respects your home while we're in it. That's how we start - and finish - every flooring project.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) is extremely popular here - it's waterproof, durable, and looks like real wood. Engineered hardwood is great for living areas. We generally advise against solid hardwood in basements or below-grade rooms due to moisture.
Most single-room installations take 1-2 days. A whole-home flooring project (1,500-2,500 sq ft) typically takes 3-5 days. Tile floors take longer due to mortar and grout curing times.
We move standard furniture like sofas, beds, and tables as part of the project. We ask that you clear small items, electronics, and anything fragile before we start.
In many cases, yes. LVP and laminate can often go over existing hard surfaces. However, we always recommend removing old flooring when possible to inspect the subfloor and ensure the best result.
